Brad Hughes is originally from Fairmont, Minnesota.  Brad has an Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Management and Administration.  He is certified in Child Abuse Forensic Interviewing through CornerHouse and completed the Management Series for Police Organizations offered through the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.  Brad is also a graduate of the 2013 "Leadership in Police Organizations" training that was developed by the International Association of Chiefs of Police.   Brad started his law enforcement career in Tyler, Minnesota.  He also worked for the Trimont, Truman, Sherburn, Amboy and Winnebago Police Departments.  In 1998, Brad was hired as the Chief of Police for the Sherburn/Welcome Police Department and took over the role on January 1, 1999.  He is married to Jennifer and has three children; Derek, Logan and Taylor.  Brad enjoys working for this department because of the closeness of the communities and the relationships that have been built.  You can reach Brad at bhughes@sherburnwelcomepolice.org


                                                                                                                                                                                    

Michael Keithahn is originally from the Sherburn area and graduated from Martin County West School District.  Officer Keithahn joined the police department on May 13, 2004.  Mike obtained his associates degree in law enforcement from Iowa Lakes Community College and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University – Mankato.  Officer Keithahn was active in the Fairmont Explorers program in Fairmont during high school.  His prior experience in law enforcement includes being a police reserve officer for the City of Mankato and a Corrections Officer for Sherburne County.  Mike also serves as the department Firearms Instructor and Field Training Officer.  Mike enjoys the good working relationship the department personnel has developed with each other and enjoys the challenges of the job.  You can reach Mike at mkeithahn@sherburnwelcomepolice.org

 

                                                                                                          
                                                                                                                       
Gina Jorgensen is originally from the Ceylon area.  Gina obtained her law enforcement training at Iowa Lakes Community College and Mankato Hibbing Range for skills training.  Gina has worked for the City of Welcome as a part-time police officer until the Sherburn/Welcome Police Department was formed.  She has worked for this department ever since, becoming a full-time officer in June of 1999.  Gina has also worked part-time for the City of Truman, City of Ceylon and Martin County as a correctional officer.  Gina is married and has two children.  She enjoys working here because of the close relationships within the department as well as the community.  You can reach Gina at gjorgensen@sherburnwelcomepolice.org

 

 
                                                                                                      

Amanda (Mandi) Cain grew up in Fairmont.  Mandi earned her Associates of Applied Science Degree from Alexandria Technical College.  Her prior experience in law enforcement includes being active in the Fairmont Explorers during high school and was a park ranger for the City of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.  Mandi started working for the department in July of 2004.  Mandi is married and has a son and a step-daughter.  Mandi enjoys working for the department because she likes the small town atmosphere and enjoys the relationships the department has with the citizens.  Mandi likes the idea of contributing positively to the community that she lives in.  You can reach Mandi at mcain@sherburnwelcomepolice.org


                                          
                                                                                                                   


Cory Zimprich grew up in Jordan, Minnesota.  Cory started his law enforcement career a little later then he intended but obtained his Associate of Applied Sciences degree from Rasmussen Community College in 2010.  He will graduate with his Bachelors Degree in September of 2012.  During high school, Cory was very active with school sports playing football, basketball, and baseball.  Officer Zimprich started with the department in June of 2012 as a part-time officer.  Cory is married and has two children.  Cory enjoys working for the department because it gives him a chance to get to know town’s citizens and likes to work closely with people to resolve issues. Officer Robinson is originally from St. Clair, MN. He attended Rasmussen College where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement and is currently working on finishing his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Officer Robinson began working for the department in August of 2013 and this is his first position as a police officer.

Officer Robinson has two daughters and a fiancé and lives in Stillwater, MN. Officer Robinson enjoys working in the small town environment because he grew up in a smaller community and likes the closeness of cities this size. He enjoys helping others whenever possible and likes meeting new people. Officer Robinson said he looks forward to being part of the Sherburn/Welcome Police Department and the community and will provide assistance in any way he can. Josh Nelson is originally from the Sherburn Area. Josh attended Alexandria Technical College and obtained his Associates Degree in Law Enforcement. Officer Nelson also completed an extensive internship with the Fairmont Police Department and the Martin County Sheriff's Office during the summer of 2011. Josh started working for the department in October of 2011 and is also employed by the Trimont Police Department. Josh has three older brothers. Officer Nelson said he enjoys the relationship that you develop with the public. Officer Nelson takes seriously the responsibility that he places on himself to honor and respect the citizens of the communities. He also enjoys the enviroment and the attitudes of his co-workers. Briar Bonin is originally from Fairmont.  He attended Alexandria Technical College where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Law Enforcement.  Briar started with the department in August of 2012 and began his career with the Truman Police Department one month earlier.  Officer Bonin has three brothers and two sisters who have been very supportive of his decision to pursue a law enforcement career.  Briar stated that he believes he will enjoy working here because of the department’s “tight knit” working relationship and the positive atmosphere that the department has.  Officer Bonin said that he looks forward to being out in the community and trying to maintain the good relationship that the department has with the community.  You can reach Officer Bonin at  bbonin@sherburnwelcomepolice.org
